Diabetes Awareness Month Research Forum
The 2017 Stanford Diabetes Research Forum was held on November 29th at the Berg Hall in Li Ka Shing Center. The agenda for this full-day event, featured presentations from 2016 and 2017 Pilot and Feasibility awardees and the four Diabetes core facilities. 32 SDRC Investigators representing 16 Departments were among the total of 90 attendees. The talks featured several collaborative efforts among SDRC members - Dr. Won Hee Lee with Dr. Tracey McLaughlin; Dr. Korey Hood with Dr. Diana Naranjo; Dr. Vivek Bhalla with Dr. Latha Palaniappan and Dr. Mike Snyder; Dr. Nadine Nagy and Dr. Paul Bollyky. Ray Kroc Lectureship guest speaker was Dr. Alvin Powers of the Vanderbilt Diabetes Research and Training Center.
